Description
A day excursion dedicated to gastronomy and the most beautiful villages of Normandy. Private tour for 6 people maximum.
An early departure from your Parisian hotel at 7:30 a.m. to go to the Normandy sub-region of Pays-d’Auge, land of horses, cheese and apple trees. A hilly countryside with its meadows where the cows graze which will produce the cheeses in the name of the local villages: Camembert, Livarot, Pont-l-Eveque.
We will visit a cheese factory producing these, as well as a cider house where several spirits are also produced, including the legendary Calvados (40°) known throughout the world.
Lunch takes place in a traditional restaurant (not included) in one of the most beautiful villages, Beuvron-en-Auge, near the magnificent Norman castle of Crevecoeur-en-Auge, open between March and September.
The architecture of the half-timbered villages will make you think of deep England, and the Norman manors will be within range of your camera, notably that of Saint-Germain de Livet.
If you wish, a stop at the grandiose neo-Byzantine basilica of Sainte-Thérèse de Lisieux, much loved by the French, is possible on request.
Several tastings of ciders and calvados are included in the price. The cider house has a play area for young children.
