Description
Half a day to go to the final resting place of Claude Monet, complete with his legendary garden, perfectly maintained by a team of gardeners. The house has remained in its original state, all the rooms are accessible, decorated with the collections of the painter who loved Japanese prints. Visit his workshop and his legendary salon where all his main works, today in museums, are reproduced identically.
The garden is an earthly paradise populated with hundreds of varieties of flowers. The river and the pond with its emblematic bridges will allow you to take beautiful photos corresponding to the perspectives of the painter’s paintings.
Then you will go to pay your respects at the painter’s grave in the cemetery of the church of Giverny, an 11th century monument. The return will be along the bends of the Seine passing through the village of Vétheuil where Monet lived, with the church he painted.
Claude Monet’s house is closed between November and March.
